Fishing Loch Watten
Loch Watten is often described as the “Leven of
the North” on account of the quality wild brown
trout that it offers to anglers. The Loch can be
fished from the bank or boat and attracts visitors
from the United Kingdom and beyond.
The Loch extends 3 miles in length and between
¼ and ½ mile in width, with an average depth of 7
to 8 feet. The average weight of trout caught is
around 1lb although “Trophy Fish” can weigh up
to 3 & 4lbs.T
The fishing season runs from May 1st to September 30th. We have fishing rights for
6 Boats on the Loch, so if a guest has a boat and would like to fish for Brown Trout
then you may take their boat and pay weekly or Daily rate to fish -
We have recently purchased a Pioneer 13 boat with Yamaha outboard motor and can offer
this to guests and non-
